Day #14: SLANT

Today was a busy day. School, xc practice, robotics, play practice, homework, blog, homework, sleep. Well, I haven't technically gotten to that last part yet, but I am dangerously close.

Today, I learned...

  1. ... how to be a good listener. More specifically, my first hour economics class got a lesson in SLANT. S: sit up. L: listen. A: ask questions. N: nod. T: track the speaker. I have no idea where Jimerson (our teacher) got this from. Actually, I wasn't even present for the actual discussion about it. He just brought it up "again" in class today. I had no idea what he meant at first, and then I realized it was another thing about how apathetic my first hour class is. It's sad.
I don't really think I had any other lessons from the day's adventures, but then again it's all kind of fuzzy up there.

Oh! Magic Mike (our robot) can now go up and down a pole! In 18 seconds! Yay!
