Day #9: Pain and Glory

I really hate that pain is such a common theme. It's been in more than a few of those titles up there, and that is terribly frustrating. But I cannot deny the truth. Today was a good day, I suppose. The agenda for my next Key Club meeting was figured out, and, oh yeah, I got 8th at league cross country! My time was ok considering I started that first mile with some major pains in my right leg. But I did learn something about that...

Today, I learned...
  1. ... that even though it is pretty incredible that my body will ignore obvious pain and let me run, it really isn't very good for my body. I can barely put weight on my right leg, including when I am lying down. I also can't sit criss-cross-applesauce, which is downright ridiculous! I can only hope that I make it to regionals in one piece... And then that I can either run, or make one last "incredible human body" run. Bleh.
So I only learned one thing today. But I got a medal, so yay!
